The short version
InsureCalc does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Every calculation runs entirely inside your browser. We never see your numbers.
1. Who We Are
InsureCalc ("we," "our," or "the site") is a free insurance calculator tool operated at YOUR-DOMAIN.com. We provide life, auto, home, health, renters, and business insurance calculators for informational purposes.
2. No Personal Data Collected
InsureCalc is designed to be private by default. All 10 insurance calculators run entirely client-side inside your web browser. No data you enter into any calculator — including income, age, home value, vehicle value, health information, or business details — is ever transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere.
We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Financial data entered into calculators
- Health or medical information
- Insurance policy details
- Location data beyond approximate country/region for analytics
3. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which calculators are used most, which pages are visited, and how users navigate the site. GA4 collects anonymous usage data including:
- Pages visited and time on site
- Browser type, operating system, and device category
- Approximate geographic region (country/region level only)
- Referral source (how you arrived at the site)
We have configured GA4 with IP anonymisation enabled. No personally identifiable information is passed to Google through our analytics implementation. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
InsureCalc displays advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free operation of the site. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to display personalised ads based on your prior visits to websites. You can review Google's privacy practices and opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.
We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and are not responsible for the privacy practices of advertisers.
5. Affiliate Links
InsureCalc includes sponsored affiliate links to insurance providers including Policygenius, SelectQuote, Lemonade, and Ladder Life. These links are clearly labelled as "Sponsored." Clicking an affiliate link may place a cookie on your device via the third-party provider's website. We earn a commission if you purchase through these links at no additional cost to you. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of affiliate partners.
6. Cookies
InsureCalc uses only functional cookies — specifically a single localStorage key (ic-theme) that remembers your dark/light mode preference. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted anywhere. We do not use tracking or marketing cookies of our own. Third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) may set their own cookies subject to their privacy policies.
7. Embed Feature
InsureCalc calculators can be embedded on third-party websites using an iframe embed code. When the calculator is embedded, the same privacy protections apply — no calculation data is collected or stored. The embedding website may have its own privacy practices we do not control.
8. Children's Privacy
InsureCalc is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through our site, please contact us at hello@YOUR-DOMAIN.com and we will promptly address it.
9. Your Rights
Because InsureCalc does not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), California, or another jurisdiction with privacy rights and have questions about your rights, please contact us.
10. Third-Party Links
InsureCalc may link to external websites (insurance providers, government resources, financial tools). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of InsureCalc after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
